Greetings
Welcome to the Josh Frost for Collector website!! I am excited about this new opportunity to reach the voters of Monticello and Drew County, in my bid for the office of Drew County Collector.
In Drew County, the office of Sheriff & Collector has always been a combined position, which was held by the Sheriff. However, legislation passed in 2011 separated the two offices, making the Collectors office, an office of its own; thereby requiring an elected official to oversee this office.
As you know, I am seeking the Democratic Nomination in the May 22nd primary. With your vote and support, we can make the Collectors office an office with a professional reputation, as well as an office that is there to serve with friendly and courteous service, while working with the taxpayers of Drew County. It is my goal to put this office back on track, and make your experience in dealing with this office a pleasant and professional one. It is also my goal to work diligently to collect not just current taxes, but delinquent property taxes as well. Collecting these delinquent taxes would greatly benefit our schools, library, county roads, hospital, and the general day-to-day operation of our county. Another goal of mine, is to work with the necessary offices and organizations to create a system to minimize the delinquency of personal property taxes, as well as to collect delinquent real estate taxes before going through the process of certifying them to the State Land Commissioner. In this economy, our City and County needs someone who will stay on top of the collection of our tax dollars, and will see to it that the revenues are collected promptly and properly to help ensure that our county doesn’t run in the negative, and that the entities which benefit from these tax dollars, receive their portion to be able to operate as needed.
I am the only candidate running in the Democratic primary that is a life long resident of Drew County. I was born at Drew Memorial Hospital, attended and graduated from the Monticello School District, and attended the University of Arkansas at Monticello. Monticello is a great place, and is my home: that is why I have chosen to remain here and raise my family here. My wife, Angie Frost, is an Accountant at a local firm, and we are the proud parents of three children: Matt, Nic and Luke, who also attend Monticello schools. This community has given so much to me during my lifetime; I feel that this is a chance for me to give back. I was raised in politics, more particularly in county government. My mother, Denise Frost, the former County Assessor, served the people of Monticello and Drew County for twenty-five years. I was taught first hand what it means to be a dedicated, honorable and devoted public servant. You don’t run for public office for the money, the fame or the glory: you run for public office because you have a desire to serve! I have that desire, and I am willing and ready to serve the people of Monticello and Drew County.

Again, thank you for stopping by and I hope you have found this information useful. Let me take this opportunity to personally ask for your vote and support in the May Democratic primary. I believe that I am the most qualified candidate for the job, and that my experience and background, as well as my knowledge and experience in county government, will allow me to do the best job for you, the taxpayer.
Thank you for your support and God bless!
